Tuhaiwi Taonga
With auditions in class this year, the semi finals were held with Whaea Awhina and Whaea Crisanna in Tūranga. The lucky finalists ended up performing in front of a full house on our Jubilee/ Whānau Day!
Whaea Dot opened up our whakataetae with a beautiful rendition of Let me be there, showing off her amazing waiata pūkenga.
She was joined on stage by our surprise judges, Michael Jackson (Maaka Tau) and Queen Latifa (Taua Karin) who had a tough job judging ALL the talent from our tamariki.
Performers cheesed it up on stage and managed to smash it out of the park with Tui in first place singing a beautiful solo, Aki and Kylem coming second with a Christmas waiata and Willow, Cassidy, Kohurereata and Daisy coming third with a kanikani.
