Kote tūmanako, he pai rawa atu tōu koutou hararei kua hipa! Nō reira, tēnā koutou, tēnā koutou, tēnā tātou katoa.

My name is Beau Waitoa and I am the new Kaiako in the Korimako class. I was very fortunate to relieve and help at Tuahiwi at the end of the year 2019.

My entire teaching career of seventeen years has been at Rowley Avenue School working in a Māori bilingual and the mainstream setting. I also taught for 3 years at Te Pā o Rākaihautū. I am grateful for that, especially working alongside some wonderful and experienced teachers like Whaea Dot. I have three adult children who are still living here in Ōtautahi. My youngest daughter Kohine and oldest son are currently studying at the University of Canterbury. My partner Kathy is a Person Centred Counsellor who works with adults and tamariki. In my free time I like to dine out, walk, watch sports, visit and spend time with my whānau. One of my passions is recycling and upcycling.

Ko te manu e kai i te miro, nōna te ngahere, ko te manu e kai i te mātauranga, nōna te ao.
