Crisanna Nel - August 24, 2023
Matua Toby from Lincoln University came out to size up our ākonga for their graduation gowns. There was quite a bit of excitement for this as everyone began to think about how many hours they had and how many more they would need to get.
Toby explained that all ākonga have the next lot of holidays to get their hours logged into the portal and then have their passports in to Whaea Crisanna at 9am on Monday 9th October.
If this is their first year, they only need 30 hours. Ākonga can do 2 lots of 10 hour activities in total eg. sport for a season. If it's their second year, they need 65 hours in total (with however many hours you got last year adding to these).
Whaea Crisanna will take groups of ākonga over the next two weeks to help them log hours into the portal and run a few activities to get their hours up.
Please have passports in for the week Monday 11th September- Friday 15th September so Whaea Crisanna can log the hours inton the passports before the holidays. Passports can then be handed back out to ākonga in the last week of term so they can be used in the holidays.
