Here are this year's student leaders, they would like to introduce themselves to you.

We have welcomed 6 students from Setagaya Gakuen School(Tokyo)

The DHS Swimming Champs were held on Tuesday 21st of February with some great results.

The Darfield High School Show Jumpers show off their skills yet again in the pouring rain.

Āria Barns and Leo Tucker taking initiative and setting up a mau rākau lesson in the hall for wet weather lunchtime. This is a great example of our school values, Manaakitanga, Kaitiakitanga, Kotahitanga and Rangatiratanga. Ka rawe kōrua. Ka Pai to mahi!

On Tuesday we were extremely lucky to have members of the Court Theatre come and perform ‘Crash Bash’ to inform us about safety while driving on open roads. Some important takeaways from this were making sure when driving to be well prepared and know all the rules of the road as they are very important. E.g. the 2 second and 4 second rule as well as being able to recognise what each different hazard signs mean to keep us safe while driving. At the end the actors and one of the local police officers held a Q&A for us to ask questions about the show and road rules. It was an awesome performance that kept the entire audience engaged, ”That was really cool” and “Wow that was fun” were just a few of the comments made by the Year 11 to 13 students.

It's really great that students borrowed library books over the summer holidays - however other students are now wanting to read these. If you are in Year 8 and above and you still have summer reading - please return it now. Thanks.
