Visit this articleFifteen DHS students joined other schools this week for an amazing event at the Christchurch Word Festival at Canterbury University. We were privileged to hear from a dazzling group of authors. Students were entertained and inspired by writer Gabriel Krauze (UK), rangatira of New Zealand literature Witi Ihimaera, mathematical biology and mathematical epidemiology expert Michael Plank, award-winning poet Khadro Mohamed, climate change activist MahMah Timoteo, writer Ben Brown, YA author Jane Higgins, and writer and teacher Melanie Dixon. Thanks to Word Festival organizers and Canterbury University for sponsoring this event - it really was a highlight!!
