Friday, 10 February, marks the fruition of a vision to commence the development of a centre of rural excellence based at Darfield High School when Tawera Rural College launches its agriculture academy, developed from farmer input and supported by the Primary Industry Training Organisation, three foundation high schools and the local farming community.

Fifty-seven dual enrolled students started their 32 week courses with six secondary-tertiary programme providers across Canterbury on Thursday and Friday this week.
