On Monday night Catherine Gallagher a Clinical Psychologist ran a parent education workshop on child anxiety, a topic that is of great importance to us parents and educators.

We have invited Dr Lucy Hone to speak on Thursday 18 October. Lucy is a director of the New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing & Resilience, a research associate at AUT University, a published academic researcher and author and blogger for Psychology Today. As well as this she has lived through tragic personal events which have forced Lucy to turn her substantial academic training and professional practice to foster resilience in very personal circumstances. Tickets for this event are available in reception.

Thank you for all of your ideas and suggestions. One popular request was for a school pool! The next stage is to get a small focus group together (including learners) to prioritize these ideas and suggestions. The Selwyn Sports Trust have invited Lemonwood Grove to join the Rolleston schools to celebrate biking to school on 25 September (postponement date 18 October).

If your child has been sick, we recommend you keep them at home for at least 24 hours. At school we continue to focus on hand washing and using hand sanitiser to keep bugs away. We appreciate your support around this.

We really appreciate the support we are receiving from a number of businesses and organisations in our community.

Our Safe Travel policy states that learners at Lemonwood Grove School are required to wear standard approved helmets when traveling to and from school using scooters, bikes, trikes and skateboards. We have also asked our staff to wear helmets. Thank you for your support around this.

ASB School Donation Voucher.

This year the Lemonwood Grove School Board of Trustees have again requested a voluntary School Donation. This will allow us to continue to provide a rich curriculum for our learners.

Please keep referring to the Lemonwood Grove School Google Calendar on our website for all events and experiences coming up.

We have a suggestion container in Reception. Please feel free to record any ideas you have around improvement.
