Congratualtions to Lily Weir who has been voted as the Student Representative on the TGHS Board of Trustees taking over from Kelsy-Anne Davis.

Thank you to everyone who supports our PTA especially our small but hard working committee.

Our Annual House Choir Competition was held on the last Thursday evening of term.

Wednesday afternoon of Week 9 we held our P.E. Year 9 Dance competition.

The TGHS annual Lip Sync competition was held on Friday 25th of August.

Netball has now wrapped up for another season.

During Winter Tournament Week our Senior A Netball team competed in Invercargill at the South Island Secondary Schools’ Championships.

Term 3 at the hostel has been busy and fun.

A group of Year 11 & 12 students recently spent the morning at Fonterra looking at STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) based career pathways.

We have had a number of exciting events happen this term and it is great to see students making the most of the opportunities they have been offered.

The Year 10 Financial Literacy class have been focusing on creativity, innovation and team work this term.

This has been another successful year for the Year 12 and 13 Gateway students.

This has been a busy term for the Year 13 students as they have been working towards Level 3 NCEA and University Entrance assessments, as well as applying for tertiary courses or jobs.

The girls heading away to the New York would like to acknowledge and thank the following businesses for their support at our recent quiz tonight for the generous donation of prizes.

On Thursday 14 September 10 Rata walked to Timaru District Council to learn about what happens in the Council Chambers.
