It is hard to believe that I am actually leaving Kavanagh College, after the four years that I have been here. It really wouldn’t have been possible for me to achieve all my goals without all the lovely, supportive staff here at Kavanagh as well as the awesome class of 2020.

Overall, it has been a marvelous experience to spend four of my school years in New Zealand and being part of the Kavanagh community is what made my stay meaningful and added a splash of colour to it.

I still remember coming to the school in Year 10, when I was only fourteen, I was feeling anxious and worried about what was going to come. However, as soon as I stepped into my first class, I was genuinely blown away. I was warmly welcomed by the class and the atmosphere was just fantastic. Almost immediately I felt like I was part of the group and have never felt left out ever since. My first day joining the class was a day that my friends and I still remember even now and perhaps is an awesome piece of memory that we will hold onto for the rest of our lives.

There were so many fun activities that I was lucky enough to be part of during my stay in Kavanagh: Year 10 horse riding camp, Senior XI football team, Year 12 retreat, class field trips, Catholic school tournament, School formal, Leaver’s ball, Sports day, Kavanagh Day and the list goes on and on as the school never failed to entertain me with exciting activities over the four years.

With that being said, I believe the most important thing that Kavanagh has offered me was not any of these activities, but the friends that I have met here to share all these fabulous moments with. Throughout my time in Kavanagh, I was lucky enough to be surrounded by a bunch of cool people that I have met along the way. Taylor, Riley, Sam just to name a few. It really was a joyful time here at Kavanagh and all the friendships and memories that I have made are certainly something that I will never forget and cherish for the very most. Thank you Kavanagh College, from the bottom of my heart for giving me the best school life that I could ever ask for.
