Tui Motu magazines packed and boxed ready for posting by Ann Gilroy
Ann Hassan — June 12, 2024
The financial statement shows careful stewarding of resources, the huge generosity of donors and increases of income in some areas.
Despite these gains the magazine made a loss of $5,217 in the financial year. However, this is an improvement on the $20,641 loss of 2022-2023.
The increases in income come mainly from domestic and international subscriptions — and donations. We are grateful to all who contributed to the $28,519 donation total.
The loss is primarily due to the 30 per cent increase in postal fees beginning July 2023. This equated to an increase of $14,184 compared to the last financial year. This is why we are seeking advertisers for each issue of the magazine.
We are grateful to Kevin Thompson for preparing this report for us.
