VLN Primary Pānui November 2021

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Kura Tuatahi - Akonga Aka Mariko

Welcome to the VLN Primary School November Pānui

Kia ora koutou katoa, Kia orāna, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Nĭ hăo 你好, Annyoung haseyo 안녕하세요, Namaste, Assalām alaikum, Hola, Bonjour, Hallo!

We're excited to be supporting the Kōtuitui online teaching hui next week. Rachel, Lucie & Jen are all leading wānanga sessions and our governance trustee Michael is keynoting. All are welcome to participate, please join us!

Welcome to new eteacher Cristy from St Marks School Ōtautahi Christchurch who will be teaching an Introductory Ethics programme in 2022. Are there students in your school who would enjoy participating in philosophical discussions? Check out the Cristy's programme to see what's involved. We look forward to having Cristy join our team and are pleased to see her contribution will be in reciprocity for her students' participation. We encourage more schools to engage in reciprocal teaching and learning where they are able as this strengthens professional capacity across our schools network.

New eTeachers are needed for 2022 to teach across a range of learning areas. If you are keen to contribute on behalf of your school or want to pick up a few part time hours please register your interest. Thanks to those who have put themselves forward already. We will be looking at appointing early in the new school year.

Our Gifted Learner programme funding is confirmed for the start of next year. There will be a selection process as funding is limited. Students are invited to choose a prospectus programme through our standard registration process and to apply for Gifted & Going Deeper or Mentoring programmes that start in Term 2.

On that note, don't forget to get your registrations in for 2022! You can start the process now and get back to us next year with your students' details. Please share our Pānui with schools in your network so they are able to access these learning opportunities too.
