Renee Beere
The Association held our Annual AGM in April. We were able to retain Vanessa Sharratt as Treasurer and Megan Beveridge as Secretary. As Renee Beere resigned as Chairperson, this role currently remains unfilled. We eagerly anticipate a new person stepping up to take on the part with support from the Association and the outgoing Chairperson. This role involves coordinating various positions led by experienced people to continue the value the Association adds to Waikato Diocesan School.

The beginning of this second term has been accompanied by crisp, autumnal mornings and mainly warm days – and yes, rain!

Each ANZAC Day invites us to look back at the sacrifice made by so many. Although we tend to focus on the World Wars, we also acknowledge all the other conflicts our service people have contributed to over the succeeding decades.
Evolve Driver Training
We are pleased to report that Evolve Driver Training Ltd is now presenting the Street Talk defensive driving course at Dio.

Kia ora koutou, we hope you have had a restful holiday and a great start to Term 2. Last term was - just the same as this one will be - a busy one, so we hope you took some time over the break to ensure you are staying happy and healthy. As we go into this term, we encourage you to look after yourselves and embrace the fun to come.
Pippa Morgans
During the term break, a couple of our talented musicians went to Christchurch to participate in the New Zealand Secondary Schools' Symphony Orchestra. Diny Zhou (Year 12) played Violin 1, and Gabriella Schuitemaker (Year 10), who played Violin 2 auditioned last year to get into the 2023 intake.
