YEAR 9 AQUATICS DAY

    by Matt Simonsen

A chilly Thursday morning greeted the 29 energetic and enthusiastic Year 9 students as they ventured to Caroline Bay for their Aquatics Day. The focus of the day was educating students on safe practices both in and around water.

The cold water didn’t deter the students from jumping in and getting involved in all activities. Learning to sail Optimist Yachts, mastering the paddleboards, survival swimming, group huddles and water rescues were just a few aspects covered with the students. The Year 9 students would like to thank the staff that attended and Leah Anderson, Jamie Ottley, and Jules Love for their assistance with the running of the programme. Without your help, this day would not have been possible.
