Principal's Word - Term 4 Week 7

    by Nicole Cooney

Kia ora everyone,

Only 2 weeks left! This week was junior tournament week, with our students involved in a number of activities.

On Tuesday we had 3 Touch Rugby teams head to Timaru to compete in the Aoraki Touch Tournament.  Wednesday saw 20 students involved in the Waimate Day organised by Sport Canterbury at Victoria Park and the Waimate Events Centre.  This sports "taster" event had students having a go at disc golf, 3v3 basketball, badminton, skating and rock climbing.  On Thursday we had 2 teams enjoying the unseasonably hot weather at Caroline Bay, for the Beach Rippa Rugby tournament, followed by a very welcome swim!

A reminder about our Market Day on Friday, 1st December from 11am - 2pm. Come and join us for arts, crafts, food and drink for sale, and some games and entertainment. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

Senior student's Clearance Day on Wednesday is an opportunity for year 11-13's to clear out their lockers and have teachers sign off on their class books and projects.

Have a lovely weekend,

Jo
