Principal's Word - Term 1 Week 3

   Race action!  by Jo Hunnikin

Kia ora everyone,

Week 3 done and dusted already!  We have packed a lot into this week: school photos, Years 9 to 13 'Meet and Greet' evening, swimming sports and a full school assembly all in one week!

In assembly today I got to present our prefect team with their blazers - an important rite of passage for our school leaders! We'll be hearing from them a lot more over the coming weeks.

Swimming Sports was a fantastic event and it was really great to see so many of our parents out enjoying the day with us. A huge thank you to those parents and members of the community helping with timekeeping on the day. We really appreciate your support!

I'd also like to acknowledge the Waimate Opportunities Project and all who were involved with the fundraising barbeque last weekend, it was a great night and lots of money raised for our Agriculture and Trades academy.

I hope you all got to see the article in the Timaru Courier this week, acknowledging the dramatic improvement in our NCEA results. Here is the link in case you missed it.

Have a great weekend,

Jo
