CROMWELL EXCHANGE

Over the last two days, we have hosted Cromwell College for our annual exchange. It has been a great couple of days of sport, friendships and sportsmanship. Waimate High School have taken out the exchange for 2023. This is an awesome testament to our students up against a school over twice our size. 

RESULTS: 

Year 7 Rugby - Waimate won 24 -19

Year 8 Rugby - Cromwell won 24 - 17

Soccer - Cromwell won 2-1

Frisbee Golf - Waimate won

Squash - Waimate won 11-3

Year 7 & 8 Netball - Cromwell won both games

Year 7 Boys Basketball - Waimate won 21-19

Year 8 Boys Basketball - Waimate won

Year 7 Girls Basketball - Cromwell won 22-16

Year 8 Girls Basketball - Waimate won

A big thank you to Nicole Cooney for the massive amount of organising that makes these exchanges possible.

We also need to thank and acknowledge all of the coaches and referees throughout the two days, especially those that took time from work to support us.

  • Jess Bailey and John Thomas for running and organising all of the squash.

  • Mrs Peters and Nicole for basketball and Dana Paul, Jane Scott, Sarah Keen and Jess Bailey for refereeing.

Thank you to our amazing canteen staff who organised an amazing lunch for today. Thank you to all of our amazing parents for your support in watching and taking care of billets. Finally, a big thank you to our students who played hard and in good spirits!
