The winter season culminated in Winter Tournament Week, with teams spread from the bottom of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island.

The international calendar has been packed with events over the past few weeks keeping our students very busy.

Microbusiness and Basketball!

9C and 9P had an awesome time on our recent camp at Rotoiti Lodge with some great learning experiences had by all.

We are open the last Friday of the school holidays, 6th October 12 – 2pm

On 5 August ‘The Steel Rosettes’ competed in the National Finals of the NZCT Chamber Music Competition in Christchurch.

Parents/caregivers and whānau are warmly invited to these events.

A key component of how to ‘be well’ is developing resilience.

As some of Waimea’s senior students, we would like to express our thoughts over an environmental concern. We would also like to offer a solution, as we are aiming to create a culture of sustainability – not just at Waimea, but also our wider community.

In the second half of this term the 300PED students have been doing a Leadership Unit, looking at contemporary leadership strategies and then applying these as a Physical Activity Leader. Part of this unit has seen them working with tamariki from across our wider campus to create connections as leaders.
