Wairakei School Basketball team in South Island tournament

For the first time, we had a Basketball Team in the South Island Primary Basketball Tournament.

In the middle weekend of the holidays, Wairakei School entered a team in the South Island Primary Basketball Tournament which was held in Rangiora. The team played 5 games over the two days and showed wonderful skill development and perseverance throughout the weekend.

Even though they did not win any games, they definitely played to the best of their ability, and fought hard until the last whistle blew! They showed great improvement over the weekend.
