Tough Kids, Secret Santa, end of term events, and more.

Tough Kids

Te Ngahere is lucky enough to be involved in the Tough Kids event for 2022.

So what is Tough Kids?

Sport Canterbury Tough Kids is an urban style obstacle course for primary aged students.

Students will compete as individuals within their respective age groups. Obstacles will include tyre runs, hurdle jumps, water slides, hay bale climbs and more. It is a very fun race where students can walk, jog or run with friends or adults. Parents and teachers are welcome to participate!

This event will be held on Wednesday 7th December. It will be held at South Brighton Park and we require parent transport to and from the event. The cost is $4 per student. We will need to leave school around 11am and we will be back before 3:00. Please fill out this form ASAP.

Secret Santa

This week a notice will be coming home about our annual Secret Santa event in Te Ngahere. Your child will bring home the name of their secret buddy and what kind of things they like within a limit of $10. We will share our gifts with each other on the 14th of December.

Te Ngahere Sleepover

Thanks to everyone who made this a success.

To Mrs Hayes, Miss Cherry, and Miss H who spent the night with Te Ngahere.
A big shout out to Cassie, Claire, and Julie who prepared an amazing dinner for our students.
An extra big shout out for Andrew and Sarah coming in at 7am to prepare our student's breakfast.

Thank you to Rachael and Kay for being there and being ready to help with any task. To Pip who kept us steadily caffeinated through Friday, and to Tanya who provided a delicious morning treat for the teachers.

The night was great preparation for next year's camp at Living Springs in September 2023.
