In order to obtain an endorsement, students must achieve their respective NCEA qualification with over 50 merit or excellence credits.

Next Wednesday 13th March is Photo Day! Photos can only be ordered online at www.photolife.co.nz. Students will be given individual codes to do this.

Introducing our Student Leadership Team 2019.

On Wednesday 30th January, we welcomed all new students and staff into our College, including our new Deputy Principal Mr Gilbert Hokianga and our new Assistant Principal Mr Conrad Stuart.

On Sunday 27th January the year 11 students competed in the first 41 Degrees Weightlifting Competition of the year.

Our year 9 students were taken for a fun afternoon of peer support games and activities by our Peer Support Senior Leaders on their first day of College.

Thankfully the recent heatwave subsided a little for our annual Tabloid Sports competition!

Congratulations to Danien Bryant, Paora Tamihana, Elias Falconer, Harry Mehana and Josh Rauhihi who have achieved the New Zealand qualification in DP Infrastructure Works Level 2.

Making the transition into College life can be daunting and so one of the first events on the calendar is the year 9 Overnight Orientation at the Foxton Beach Bible Camp.

On Wednesday 20th February, we held our annual Inter-House Swimming Sports competition in the College pool.

Dougal is the son of our teachers Mr and Mrs Allan and is a former student and Sports Captain of Manawatu College.

RYDA is a series of practical and powerful workshops for high school students that challenge them to change the way they think about road safety and lay the foundation for safe road use throughout their lives.

This year marks 10 years that Manawatu College has been participating in the annual Relay For Life event, and to add to our celebrations, we have been nominated for this year's new Youth Award for schools!

On Saturday 16th February, year 10 student Jazlyn Wells and older brother Harry, year 13, competed in the National Stand Up Paddleboard Competition at Foxton Beach.
