Principal's Message - Tumuaki Pānui
The warm weather has arrived and we have hit the ground running already this term!
We have started this term with our first ever Theatre Academy Performance earlier this week with our incredibly talented singers, dancers and actors showcasing their skills on the stage in a series of performances. You will no doubt get to see many of these capable tamariki in our school production later on next year. More information to follow about our special production at the beginning of Term One. A special thank you to Ms Karrin Heappey for sharing her passion and extensive skills in developing our Performing Arts Programme.
We have also had our Year 6 students head off to camp at Tui Ridge in Rotorua. They had great weather on all three days which allowed them to get out and enjoy all the activities to their fullest. I would like to acknowledge the Carmichael and Te Paeroa teachers for their outstanding planning, preparation and stamina both at camp and back at school during our camp week. Also a special "thank you" to the wonderful parents who gave their own time to attend as helpers on camp. Without whānau support, our camps would not be possible. Ngā mihi nui whānau.
Next week we are hosting our PTA Disco on Thursday evening and then our Book Character Day on Friday. So please feel free to come along and join in on the fun. If you would like to be part of our Book Character Day, find yourself a great book character costume and come along to our Costume Parade at 9.15am. Just follow the music...🥳
We hope everyone has a great long weekend.
Take care,
Cath
