Aroha mai, aroha atu~

by Ms Lyndell Turner

This saying means, 'love towards us and love going out from us'. It is a very apt way to describe the Pre-school at the moment. Hearts are very symbolic for us at Pre-school. We teach with heart and in return the children share their joy of learning with us. How lucky are we to have such a wonderful job. In their specialist art class recently, our older tamariki set about creating some amazing 'heart' pictures. These take pride of place on our wall. Continuing on from their interest, more hearts have been added to the display. We are really seeing some growing confidence in the way children are using the art materials and resources at Pre-school.
