Sau Ia Fest 2024

Sau Ia Fest 2024

Kia orana, bula vinaka, malo e lelei, talofa lava and warm Pasifika greetings!

On Wednesday 13th November, 31 members of our Pasifika group performed at the Town Hall in a massed choir combining 16  schools from across Ōtautahi.

The performance was a vibrant display of colours, cultures, languages and performance pieces. All of our performers represented Cotswold Mātāhae beautifully.

Thank you to our tutors at Tagata Mai Saute Academy, Albany and Noah, for their guidance and support in getting us ready for the performance and to the parent helpers who got up bright and early to help at the rehearsal.

Potato Weigh-In Day

Potato Weigh-In Day has been scheduled for Thursday 28th November starting at 7.30am
Cotswold Matahae Potato Growing Competition 2023 by Marie Bianco

Kia ora Cotswold Whanau,

The Potato Weigh-In Day will be held next Thursday, 28th November.

Please bring in your potato plant from 7.30am on this day.

  • You need to cut off the plant before bringing it in. Please keep the soil and potato in the black bag – you will bring that in and tip it out on the tarpaulin.

  • There will be helpers to assist you sorting out your potatoes and putting them into a brown paper bag.

  • You will then bring the bag to the table where we will weigh them and write down the weight.

  • You can then take your bag of potatoes home with you.

There will be signs guiding you to where we are weighing the potatoes.

  • Come in the main gate and turn left.

  • Walk across the Junior Court, past Room 12 and turn right.

  • You will see the gardens and lots of staff and students to help you tip your potato out onto the tarpaulin.

We aim to finish weighing the potatoes by 8.45am in time for us to get to class on time.

We hope you have enjoyed growing your potatoes and good luck for the weigh-in day.

Looking forward to seeing all the amazing potatoes.

Linda Wroth and Michelle Baskerville
