Tēnā Koutou Katoa,

Thanks for the support around getting tamariki up and running for the 2023 School year. A busy time for whānau ensuring that we have set up our children to be successful.

Welcome to Miss Katie White who is teaching in Room 10 and all the new students who have joined the Cotswold Mātāhae Learning Community.

Schools are fairly empty, quiet and dull places without our pupils. What a joy it is to have them back. It has been great getting to meet many of them across this week, the smiley faces and fabulous manners have stood out to me initially.

Tomorrow we have our Start Up Party which will give me another opportunity to meet more of our learners. Thanks to Mrs Fleming-Connell, Mr Guthrie and Mr Harper for the work around getting this exciting event organised.

This afternoon we held a brief Whole School Assembly which gave me an opportunity to speak to tamariki and introduce myself to everyone and get across some key messages to our 2023 group. It was great to have everyone together. Our first official Whole School Assembly will be held in Week 4 Thursday 23 February beginning at 2:15pm, all whānau welcome.

Cotswold Mātāhae - Startup Party …… Let’s Go!

When: Tomorrow, Friday 3 February from 9.30am-11.30am

(NB.# Yr 1’s may finish before 11.30am)

To celebrate the beginning of the school year with the students of Cotswold Mātāhae will be having our House Start Up Party. All the children will be involved in some fun-filled tabloid type activities.

What to Wear and Bring

Shorts
Top (House Colours if possible)
Hat
Shoes (that are ok to get wet)
Towel
Change of clothes and shoes

Family, whanau and friends of the Cotswold Community are welcome.

KickStart Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club will be back next Tuesday. Everyone is welcome from 8.30am-8.50am in the Hall Technology Room.

Come and have your morning weetbix with your friends!

Please remember to return any required medications (including inhalers) to the School Office as soon as possible. We have a number of off site trips coming up this Term so it’s very important we have any necessary supplies here at school for all students.
