Kia ora koutou e te whānau,
Congratulations to all the Year 6 ākonga on a fabulous camp, it was great to see you all challenging yourselves and giving things a go.
A huge thanks to the parent helpers, we couldn’t do it without you!
A big paki paki to our amazing Year 6 teachers for organising the camp and providing our tamariki with this great experience, we are lucky to have you!
For our ākonga I know this will be a highlight of your schooling years at Cotswold Mātāhae. No doubt everyone will be looking forward to having a good night's sleep tonight!
As a focus for the start of the year classes have been looking at a website called “Hectors World”. Age-appropriate education designed for 5 - 10 year olds delivering online safety lessons via entertaining and informative animated episodes. Click on the Parents tab to access information.
Start Up Party
Our annual Start Up Party was a huge success with tamariki working in their house groups supporting each other and having fun!
A big thank you to Mr Guthrie and Mr Harper for their organisation, and the staff who ran the activities. It was great to have many whanau come along to support our tamariki.
Senior Duathlon
It was great to see our Senior Duathlon go ahead last week despite the unpredictable weather conditions we have been experiencing lately.
The Senior Duathlon is a large undertaking every year due to the safety protocols needed to have our athletes biking on the roads around our school.
Thank you to Mr Harper, and volunteers who acted as Marshalls. We appreciate you giving up your time to help this event go ahead.
Events like the Duathlon cannot continue in the future without parent support.
