Halswell School

Week 10 Term 4 2018

We made it!

Yesterday we welcomed Stuart Cameron our new principal and our new children to Halswell with a Mihi Whakatau. It was great to have some children and staff from Sumner School join us for the welcome and was great to see parents and community members there also.

We had our senior prize giving last night as we farewelled our year 8 students. I would like to farewell all the families and students leaving us at the end of year and wish you all the best in the future. I would also like to farewell our leaving staff members and thank them for the contribution they have made to our school.

Last night our 2019 School Leaders were announced. Our two head students for 2019 are Ben Dufaur and Nikita Dean. Our executive also includes our Treasurer: Sarah Jamieson and Secretary: Makaia Wakefield. Congratulations to them and all other students named in leadership roles for 2019.

Have a well deserved holiday break and we look forward to welcoming those returning back on Monday 4th February at 8:55am.

Kind Regards

Rob Naysmith

Acting Principal
