Newsletter - Week 8 Term 2

The current Coronavirus Covid-19 situation is certainly very unsettling and creating a sense of uncertainty and anxiety, not only for us here in Hornby, but nationally and worldwide.

We continue to promote good hygiene practices at school
1. washing hands thoroughly after using toilet
2. coughing or sneezing into the crook of the elbow
3. reducing large gatherings - social distancing. Assemblies have been cancelled until further notice.

If your child is unwell

If you are living in a house with someone in self-isolation, or someone who has arrived in the country from overseas (not including the Pacific Islands), please conact the office on 349 7238, or Kersten at reception.

At this stage, there is no community transmission and no reason why your child should not be attending school, unless they are unwell or living in a house with someone in self-isolation. It is business as usual at Hornby Primary and we continue to support your child's learning and wellbeing 😊.
