Absences/Late Arrivals and Visitors
Please record your child's absence on our Howick Intermediate school website or email absences@howickint.school.nz
The school must also be notified of any changes of address or contact details i.e. mobile phone numbers/email.
If the school has not received notification of your child's absence an automated text will be sent to the primary caregiver's mobile phone number. If you receive this text be sure to contact the school as soon as possible. Thank you for your assistance.
It is also imperative that your child signs in and out at the school office if they arrive late and signed out by a caregiver if they leave the school grounds for any reason.
All visitors to the school must report to reception.
Any requests for a child to be away from school for extended periods need to be submitted to and approved by the Principal.
