The election for the 2020 Student Trustee was held last week. It was a little different given the Alert Level we are in, however, the students just carried on!

With the 2020 Dunedin Schools Debating Competition now concluded, the King’s 1st Debating Team has finished as runners-up in the Senior Division and a King’s student has been named 2020 best speaker.

Some of the International students ventured to Rakiura/Stewart Island, one of New Zealand’s largest National Parks, with Mr Davis this week.

Work by Year 10 Art students and a Year 13 Media student, Ryan McCleery, are on display in the foyer this week.

Members of 10Fs used writing icing and cake decorations to represent atomic structures in Science this week.

ETCO (who offer Electrical Apprenticeships) have a new Level 3 Foundation course that is aimed at those who would like to be an Electrician but haven’t quite met the pre-requisites.

The Great Kererū Count is almost here and we are reaching out to schools to ask for their help to get Dunedin’s Kererū on the maps!

We are very fortunate at King’s High School to have a number of international students still with us in Dunedin who will continue to stay with us, hopefully, until Year 13.
