Please talk to Mrs Miller about bus transport for your child. Bus monitors are selected each year and their role is to help provide a safe and enjoyable bus trip for all Lochiel students.

Once registered your child will be on the bus roll every day, so it is very important that if your child won’t be travelling on the bus for any reason the school is notified.

Please talk through these safety requirements if your child is travelling by bus:

• When boarding the bus in the morning, children need to wait in the designated place, well back from the road. Wait until the bus has stopped before approaching.
• At all times, stay seated until the bus has stopped.
  
• Carry your bag in front of you so it does not get caught in the door.
• Get on and off the bus carefully without pushing.
• When getting off the bus in the afternoon, if you need to cross, find a safe place and wait until the bus has moved away. This will ensure that you have a clear vision of the road.
• Children must wear a high visibility vest.
