During Term 3 students enjoyed a visit from author Dr Vincent O'Malley.

A group of Year 13 Physical Education students spent a weekend x-country skiing and spent two nights sleeping in a snow cave they built in Term 3.

Our Head Prefects Bella Rennie and Lucan Willis were invited to speak at Pine Hill School's Duffy Assembly about the importance of reading.

During September, while the senior school exams were on, we had several days of activities for the international students who weren’t doing exams.

The wellbeing team gave out over 100 rocks and stones for Youth Week at the end of Term Three. Each stone was decorated by students in the team to give support, encouragement and affirmation to students here at school.

In Term 3 all Year Ten English classes have been actively involved in the Year 10 Reading Challenge.

Congratulations to our talented Theatresports team who won the 2018 Otago competition.

During Term 3 our Year 12 PE class spent a day coaching at North East Valley Primary School running a sports day for their students.

This event has a long history at LPHS. The reading challenge is run as a part of the library program and requires students to set reading goals and work hard to achieve them.
