Our senior drama students presented an evening of theatre at the end of Term 2.

Congratulations to our 2018 Year 9 Scholarship recipients. 17 Scholarships were awarded at the end of Term 2 to those applicants who sustained an excellent record of effort and achievement in Academic, Sporting or Cultural areas.

Our Interact Club organised an entertaining Karaoke Week during Term 3.

Our last group of Year 10 students appreciated outdoor adventures and exciting times at Tautuku Lodge, in the Catlins area in the final week of Term 2.

Nadia Reid dropped by our senior Music class in Term 3 promoting the AMPED scheme, in which secondary school-aged student bands are mentored in stage skills toward performances.

Term 3 is Reading Challenge term for all junior students.

The 12 PE snow trip took place over 3 days at the Remarkables ski field in Queenstown in August.

In Term Three the Counselling department offered a range of short programmes that offer practical ideas for helping with student health and wellbeing.

The Action Award was presented to two students at the end of Term 2: Year 9 student Liam Scaife received the award for innovation and Year 13 student Morgan Koykka received it for community service.

In August the Outdoor Education class went to a couple of escape venues in town.

Congratulations to our Theatresports team who competed successfully in August and made it through to the Regional Finals at the New Athaneum.

We enjoyed showcasing our school as part of our Open Days at the beginning of Term 3.

Congratulations to the Logan Park Black team who won their division by beating Kaikorai Valley College 4-1 in the final in August.

Term 3 the LPHS bookclub enjoyed having first pick of new books coming into the library.

Our Year 9 Japanese class had a great chance to have an intercultural exchange with students from Meikei High School.

We welcomed a lovely new group of international students to the school at the beginning of Term 3.
