Year 12 and 13 Study Periods

    by Janine Laumua

Currently in our school timetable we have the capacity for students to select 6 subjects. If students choose only 5, they then have a line of timetabled, supervised study. If study falls on the last period of the day, students are advised to have an early finish as study does not run at that time.

Study periods are very important and allow students some extra time to read and reflect on what they have learned and work towards completing assessments. At the moment, some students are coming late to school deliberately because they have a study first period, this means they are also missing their Whare Āhuru periods at 9am.

We would like all students to see their study time as both precious and necessary for their achievement journey in 2024 and we ask for your support in ensuring your son/daughter arrives on time to school and attends Whare Āhuru and morning study periods as scheduled.
