One of our key annual goals is to continue expanding our Parent Curriculum. This strategic approach aims to build an inclusive learning community where parents are fully informed about our teaching and learning practices, as well as the school's operational functions.

On behalf of the Milford School Board, I would like to congratulate Lucy Naylor, our Principal, on her being awarded a Fellow of the Auckland Primary Principals’ Association (APPA) and on her being elected President of the APPA for 2025 and 2026.

In the past three weeks, we have received multiple communications from concerned parents and community members regarding the safety of our students cycling to and from school.

Purchase Yummy apples, either bags with cut-out labels or individual apples with Yummy stickers. One cut-out label is worth 10 apple stickers. Place the Yummy stickers on Sticker Collection Sheets and the cut-out labels on Cut-Out Label Collection Sheets. (see below)

This year, we've introduced an exciting new token system to encourage our tamariki to work together and strengthen their communication skills both in school and in the wider community.

One of our year 6 students had great success over the weekend, taking part in a local cooking competition.

On Tuesday we sent 6 teams to the Cricket Zone Day. The weather was fantastic and all our students had a fun day giving their all.

Our Learner Profile Attribute this week is Caring. Being caring means showing kindness, empathy, and concern for others, including people, animals, and the environment.

What a wonderful week of learning through play it's been in Whānau Harakeke! We've embarked on a fantastic journey into the beautiful world of Te Reo Māori, and the tamariki have embraced it with enthusiasm and joy.

At the start of the session, we ate the delicious sweet corn we harvested last week.

Sea Week starts tomorrow, Saturday 1st March, across New Zealand. It's a great time to bring our attention to the ocean, all that it has to offer, as well as being kaitiaki (guardians) for its future survival.

A very belated Happy Chinese New Year to all our Chinese families! In Room 11 we have been celebrating cultural diversity, and embracing the opportunity to learn more about the different cultures within our class community.

Harcourts Cooper and Co Shore to Shore is a great day out along our sunny shores with thousands of participants running or walking the 5.9 km route! The event starts at Takapuna Grammar School, heads along both the picturesque Takapuna and Milford beaches and ends at Milford Reserve.
