Oaklands Events

Last week the school had many highlights and opportunities for our students. This included a visit from the Warriors Rugby League Team (which was the Stuff site) our Kauri Cross Country, students completing their learning on Anzac and beginning their Science unit on Habitats in preparation for class trips.  We also had our parent meeting on developing our Education Brief.

Next week we are acknowledging Bully Free NZ Week with our school leaders Hannah, Jack, Kayla & Dylan presenting at both team assemblies, random act of kindness activities each day and a 'wear something pink' day on Friday.  The pink shirt day website www.pinkshirtday.org.nz has some great ideas for activities and information to get the whole community involved.  I would like to acknowledge the amount of work that is going into organising next weeks events by our Year 8 leaders and encourage you to get behind the event and wear something pink on Friday 20th to show your support.
