Zoom Whānau Huis
The Zoom Whānau Huis will start at 9:20am from Monday 4th May. This allows teachers who are on site with students to set them up for their Zoom Meetings before beginning their own.
Here is the link to the Hub 2 Learning Slides.
Phone Calls
The teachers are making phone calls with each of you to touch base and see how you and your family are going. The information and feedback you have provide us helps us to plan the learning programmes for your child, put plans in place to support your family and assists us in our planning as we prepare for Alert Level 2.
We understand that every family situation is different and is ever changing especially as some adults are working from home or beginning to physically go back into your work premises. Just a reminder that all the learning we are providing is optional - just do as much as you can with the time that you have available. We want all the children and families to be happy and healthy. If your circumstances change and you need more support from us, please feel free to email us at hub2@oaklands.school.nz.
Maths Whizz
Well done to those students that have been going onto Maths Whizz and making 4 or more progressions each week. This week Oliver Yuan, Ella Wong and Harrison Brown receive virtual certificates (when we go back to school properly we will give you the certificates). We will be looking for 3 students each week on Maths Whizz to receive these awards for Hub 2.
Next week is Bully Free Week and we have added a slide to the distance learning that has some good resources to support you with discussions at home around what bullying is and what to do if you are being bullied/see bullying happening. On Friday the 8th May, wear pink or bring along something pink to your Whānau Hui Zoom Meeting to show your support for having a Bully Free Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Enjoy the warm weather and stay safe in your bubble.
