The school holidays are from the 30th March to the 14 April 2020.

All teachers will be on term break until 15 April 2020. They will be in contact with all the students on Wednesday 15 April with your online learning and contacting students by Zoom during the week.

Term 2 will start on the 15 April. Learning will be online.

We have provided a number of resources to support your child with their learning. You will be sent links to enable you to access us or the learning sites. If you need help with this please email us.

At the start of Term 2, all students will be contacted online through a site called zoom.

This is a video site to enable us to connect with your child. There will also be a slideshow with new learning each week. This will have a schedule of learning to support your child. However, you know your own child and your own personal circumstances. Learning needs to be fun and have choices. The learning will include a variety of learning activities. Our timetable is a guide.

Be kind to each other. Take care of yourself and your family. What your child needs right now is to feel comforted and loved. To feel like it’s all going to be okay. So going for a walk, baking, painting, playing board games and watching movies will be important over the next few weeks. Start a book as a family and read together. At the end of all of this, your child’s mental health will be more important than their academic skills. How they felt during this time will stay with them long after the memory of what they did during the weeks is long gone.

Year 1-3 hubs will be including Seesaw, an interactive learning site which will have a variety of learning activities.

Each day your teachers will check emails from you or your child by 11.30 am and will be in contact regarding your queries.

Each week of the term (not in the holidays) your child’s pastoral care teacher will contact them online through zoom to chat with them and check on their well being.

Learning sites

Zoom - Download zoom, we will invite the children and they will receive a notification. Or they will be given a number to type in which will take them to the conversation.

Seesaw - Download seesaw and we will send out the seesaw passwords for the start of Term 2.

EPIC - Hub 2 password is - sqz1046 the child can click their own name to read a variety of books online.

Scholastic - You will need to sign in or sign up and then our links should take you to the right page. It is Free.

Maths-Whizz - Passwords are in the CARE books if you don’t have it at home please email and we can forward it on to you
