Writing: Every Monday we do a hook to get us excited about our writing for the term. Our hooks have included moving milk, blowing up a balloon with vinegar and baking soda, making moving milk, writing about magic trees, making scones and butter, making puffy paint and exploring the school. 

Reading: We have been buddy reading, reading big books, doing activities about blends, initial sounds and rhyming words, and learning to use our expression. 

Maths: We are all up and running on Maths Whizz. We have also been doing Number Talks where we see how many different strategies we can think of to answer a question. 

Keeping Ourselves Safe: We learnt how to keep ourselves safe, thinking about people who we can trust, where safe places are and what are good and bad secrets.

Swimming: Swimming has been heaps of fun and a great way to keep cool.
