Farewells 

Aleen will be leaving Oaklands School at the end of next week. She has made some strong friendships during her time here and she will be missed. The Blue Hub would like to wish her all best at her new school.

Han will also be away be away for the rest of the term visiting family in China. He will be back early next term. We look forward to hearing about your travels when you return.

Assembly

Well done to all of the children that had a speaking role at assembly on Monday or shared their work. You all did an amazing job and should be proud of yourselves.

Student Led Conferences

Catch up with what your child has been learning about at Student Led Conferences next week.

Inquiry

Today everyone started to take action with what they have learnt about sustainability. One way we did this was by helping Creative Junk rethink, reuse and recycle waste so it is transformed from a trash to a treasure. Children had the task of coming up with their own creation or project to make from materials available from Creative Junk. They came up with a range of ideas and were only limited by their imaginations and the materials available to them.

Mr Horn also worked with children to have them create their own part of an amazing hanging garden.

Children will have more time to work on projects before the end of term, but check out the photos below for a peek at what they've come up with so far. 

Maths  Whizz

Well done to Marco, Carter and Sammy  for winning their Maths Whizz certificates this week. Keep up the good work children and maybe it will be YOU winning a certificate next week.

Lunch Time Personal Bests

Some children have been working hard to achieve personal bests in certain fitness related activities during break times. Below is a list of some of the children in our hub and how many consecutive skips they were able to do on Thursday lunch time at Mr Morehu's activity.
