Dictionaries for Year 4

Neville Goodsir presents the 2023 Year 4s with their very own dictionary.

by Kim Allan

Welcome back to another term.

During the holidays work began on Room 3 & 4 toilets and breakout space.

On Monday staff worked together on the new national restraint guidelines and working with the new Aotearoa NZ Histories Curriculum to plan a school wide inquiry topic for Term 3 around our school 150th celebrations.

Dictionaries

Thank you to the Rotary Club who have provided our Year 4 students with their very own dictionary. Neville Goodsir came along to school to make the presentation. Outram School is grateful for the support from Rotary.

Playcentre Visits

Last term Room 4 started regular visits with the Playcentre. The school received two letters from adults associated with the playcentre noting the empathy, kindness and respect the students in Room 4 demonstrated. Ka pai Room 4 and Mrs Sinclair, you make us very proud! We look forward to hosting the playcentre children at school on the next visit.

Anzac Day Parade

Outram School had a very good turn out of students to this years local Anzac Day Parade. Max and Jesse laid the wreath on behalf of the school. It was also lovely to have Meg and Andrew, Head Boy & Girl of Taieri College and ex-Outram School students, join us for a photo. See photos below.
