Parkview Pārua Senior Athletics

On a perfect day for track and field events, students from Kererū and Kōtuku competed in the various events that make up our Athletics Day. 

Following a review of last year's Athletics, we were trialling a new approach in 2023, with students opting into the events that they wanted to compete in. This allowed for those serious athletes to have a better opportunity to achieve the qualifying standards for the East Zone Athletics.

A huge congratulations to all our place-getters. 

We are able to take our top two athletes in each event and age group to the Zones, providing they attain the qualification standard. Unfortunately, the East Zone Athletics clash this year with the Kererū school camp. We are working through some possible solutions for this issue. If your child has qualified, you will have received a permission slip via HERO. Please can you check and return this ASAP so we have the information we need to finalise our planning.
