Yesterday the first group of Year 6 Kererū students started the Cycle Safe Programme with instructors from the Christchurch City Council.
The instructors went through the laws of riding on the road and the importance of riding with the appropriate equipment.
Students were put to the test on the court area learning signalling etc while gaining confidence on their bikes.
The instructors could not speak more highly of this group of students who all listened and showed impeccable manners. These students were a credit to their school and the confidence of riding a bike for some of them has grown immensely.
