Through the amazing consultation we had over the last year, we were able to come up with our three priority goals and a Vision Statement that reflects the priorities of our school community. Our school values underpin all that we do in our school. We talk about them regularly, and we ensure that they are in all our governance documents and our school and team planning.

VISION STATEMENT

RBS will empower confident, adaptable and resilient tamariki who are effective communicators and achieve personal excellence. 

We will achieve this by being a positive and inclusive kura with high quality teaching practices and relationships.

Strategic Goal 1: Culturally empowered ākonga

  • Tamariki and kaiako are developing confidence to use Te Reo effectively to communicate

  • Ākonga are empowered by agreed tikanga

  • Tamariki are strengthened in their own cultural identity

  • Tamariki and kaiako are empowered by strategies and practices that promote active learning and hauora

Strategic Goal 2: Literate tamariki

  • Tamariki are able to communicate confidently and effectively with clarity of purpose

  • Kaiako utilise strategies, practices and pedagogies that promote active learning and engagement

  • Kaiako will utilise powerful / experiential learning experiences and opportunities

  • Kaiako will utilise Te Mātaiaho to enhance teaching and learning

Strategic Goal 3: Healthy learning environment for all

  • Actively engaging our community with PB4L practices and understandings

  • An empowered PB4L team will have a shared understanding of direction informed by regular contributions from a variety of stakeholders

  • Continuing to develop the Healthy Active Learning partnership with Sports Canterbury

  • Encouraging our community to share and understand healthy digital learning practices
