In the last week of Term 1, two teams of our senior super readers travelled to Wellesley College in Lower Hutt to represent Seatoun School in the Wellington regional round of the Kids Lit Quiz. There are ten themed rounds of ten questions each, with individual questions for cash prizes in between each round. Our two teams had a top scoring round each which is impressive considering the competition from the 45 other teams from all over Wellington, and completed the day with decent placings. A huge thank you to Curtis’s dad Justin Williams for being one of our drivers and support team. Reading for Pleasure is the focus of the school library all year round and we strive to find books for every young person. Look out for initiatives in the pipeline to support this quest over the coming term.
