Whether you are young or old, there’s always room to grow.

It is great to see the school in full flow again with exciting plans in place to help our kids fly. The teaching staff are refreshed and kids are excited. And who knows maybe we will get some respite from the windy start to the year.

Thank you to the parents who have paid the school donations already for 2024 - ngā mihi nui. Our school relies heavily on these donations to run the programmes we do each year. In 2023 we received 83% of the parent donations invoiced. This is nationally a very high percentage - thank you. If you can, please pay your donations.

You may notice that the 'Silver Bars' playground equipment have come to the end of their life and been removed. These bars were popular with with kids but were increasingly unsafe, beyond repair, and their design no longer meets code. Consideration will now be given to what this space looks like in future. Other upcoming maintenance work includes further work on heat pumps, air conditioning and roofing areas.

We are fortunate to have the car park and road area at the front of the school for drop off and pick up. But, whilst we have not had recent near misses, there are significant risks of kids being hit by cars, at the beginning and end of the school day. We are considering a number of options to reduce this risk but need your help. Please do not park on the islands in the middle of the road. Please do not park at the entry point at either end where the school road begins. These spots block lines of sight. One tip is that the school rush is a relatively short period so if you can, consider arriving 10 minutes either side and you will likely have an easier time. Please be considerate and vigilant.

2024 promises to be an excellent year with many great learning opportunities.
