We hoped that everybody managed to have a well deserved break over the Easter holidays and managed to spend some time with family, friends and loved ones.

The Board would like to acknowledge our recent Mihi Whakatau, welcoming new families to our school community. This was a very special event and we would like to thank our Kaumātua, Mr Ray Ahipene Mercer for his leadership and contribution to this event.

At our March meeting, the Board received detailed information regarding our students' achievements against the National Reading, Writing and Mathematics achievement targets. Our students continue to perform well above national expectations across the curriculum. The Board would like to thank and acknowledge that this achievement is a testament to all the hard work our staff, parents and learners are doing, working towards achieving the best they can be. Several different strategies have been discussed and undertaken to engage and support learners across the curriculum and this has had a very positive impact on the progress of our students. One of our school’s main academic focuses for this year will be to support and grow writing skills amongst our students, and some fantastic strategies to help achieve this were shared with the board. We are excited to follow the progress of our students on their learning journey this year.
