Steeple Rock - 6 April 2023

Easter is upon us... take a moment to relax and refresh!

Thank you for all your support during our busy and exciting Term 1.

I find it quite hard to believe we are already into April. The year is passing by at its typical break-neck speed. Looking back on the term, there are many highlights, but the top of the list has to be returning to our open-door policy of inviting and encouraging parents to be part of the learning process.  A massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to our children’s learning this term.

Keeping our kids online was a confronting but important learning opportunity for parents. If you have not made changes at home, please spend some time over Easter investigating options. You can find out more here.

Another highlight has to be FoSS back up and running. We have a large and enthusiastic group of parents that is making things happen for the school and the children. The school DISCO was tremendous, sausage sizzle was as popular as ever, and the gin-tasting evening was a sell-out :-). Look out for opportunities to assist next term.

Today, our Mihi Whakatau was a fitting way to finish the term. Formally welcoming our new families into our community is always a highlight.

Over the holidays, we have a number of contractors on site. Firstly they will be adding the finishing touches to the classroom modernisation project. If you haven’t had a chance to go and look around these new classrooms, visit next term. We also have a number of other little items being tidied up around the school.

Have a wonderful Easter, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back on
Wednesday, April 26.
