Helpers Morning Tea - next Friday, December 9th, 10am in the Hall
We warmly welcome parents to morning-tea, put on by the staff, to say thank you for the help you have given us all over the year. One of the incredible features of our school is the immense amount of support we receive. We are very grateful for this and say a massive ngā mihi nui. We hope many of you can join us next Friday at 10am.

Last Hui of the Year (Prizegiving)
Our final hui will be held at Seatoun School at 9.30am on Tuesday December 13th, or the next fine morning. All parents are invited to this. We will be using the grass bank and flat area right at the end of our school as a ‘natural amphitheatre’. Children will be sitting on the flat grass area - on some tarps and can bring a cushion. Adults will be seated on the bank or on the sides. Dress appropriately and if you want to sit to the side, please bring your own chair :-)

Building Projects over the Break
We have a number of building projects over the break. We have four classrooms being remodelled. Our Year 7 and 8 students will be based in our Library, STEAM and Orca rooms. We also have a fencing contractor on-site installing perimeter school fencing. There will be a number of vehicles on the grounds over the break and children will need to be supervised when using the school grounds. With the building work, Mrs Bamber will be based in the library but mainly working in classrooms for group sessions. The Library will still be open at lunchtimes. The ORCA Room will be a classroom. Before and after school music lessons will be mainly be held in the Music Room. With the STEAM room mainly a classroom, Mr Finnigan’s Science, Engineering and Technology programme will be occurring in regular classrooms.

Our Kids Online - Parent Information Evening - Thursday February 9th 7.00 PM IMPORTANT - Please put this in your diary and attend
I see this meeting as absolutely essential for all of us. Please put this in your diary now. We have been very fortunate to secure this presentation for our community. The Informed & Empowered programme was created after spending two years working with schools and parent communities across New Zealand to support parents/caregivers on the reality of our children being online and strategies to support parents.
