From the Principal - 20 July 2023

Planning for 2024 is well underway...
Matariki Celebration  by Te Kura o Kirikiri Tatangi Seatoun School

A warm welcome back to you all in Term 3, I hope everyone had a wonderful restorative break. Staff and students are all revived and our school has the lovely buzz of learning once again!

Within this Steeple Rock, you will find Team Long-Term Plans and Newsletters, as you will see, alongside our Seussical production, which will weave in so much learning, there continues to be a focus on the more traditional academic areas.

You will see above, we have listed the times for performances in the final week of term.  See the article below to confirm which cast your child/ren are in.  It is in alphabetical order by surname.

Planning for 2024 is well underway here in the office. We would appreciate it if you could please keep us updated with your plans regarding your children's attendance for 2024 too!
Feel free to email me with any foreseeable changes on john.western@seatoun.school.nz. You do not need to let us know that your Year 8 student is leaving.

It is a busy and exciting term with Seussical coming alive here in week 10, Swimming Sports in week 3 and ICAS assessments running throughout the middle of the term, among many other events.

We all enjoyed celebrating Matariki together at the closure of Term 2. Thank you all for your support of this important celebration and thank you to FoSS for their support with the running of the event.

Below is a short clip of the students singing.

Reminders:

  • As it is getting cooler, it is very important to send your children with a named warm coat. Should we ever need to evacuate this would be critical, let's be prepared!
  • Ensure your child is in school before the 8.45 am bell every day. This helps them to have a successful day.

  • Let us know if your child is away. Please use your HERO App for this as this saves the Office team time.

  • Please do not park down Dorset Cove, this is a private driveway.

  • Avoid driving past St Anthony's school at the beginning and end of the school day, this helps considerably with road safety for their tamariki.
