Our Seatoun School Athletes did us proud with outstanding efforts at the Eastern Zone Athletes event. Please see their results in the attached PDF below.

Inter Zones Qualifiers

Congratulations to the students who placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd (and met the qualifying standards) the individual events and 1st in the relays, you qualify for Inter Zone Athletics 2022. This is a huge accomplishment and we are very proud of you.

Inter Zone Athletics:

Newtown Park (in a very similar format to EZ)
Tuesday Nov 29th (postponement Thursday 1st Dec)

We are aware that this, sadly, is a clash with Year 7 & 8 camps which is unfortunate, however unavoidable. Please email if you have questions on this.

More details will come out on Hero for the students who have qualified to organise this event - it is parent-led, due to small numbers, so assistance is much appreciated.

Some great reflections of the day from two of our athletes....

  • Eastern Zones was held on the 8th of November on a nice sunny day. It was fun and competitive. The relays were first and then different activities for the different year groups. It was exciting watching talented young athletes doing different activities and even doing some of my own. I was entered in the sprints and the relays. I was feeling nervous before my events. I didn’t place as I thought the I was going to run further and was saving a little energy for the last sprint. I hope I qualify again next year.

  • I had an amazing time at Eastern Zones Athletics. My favourite part was probably the high jump, in my opinion it was quite easy and fun to do.The people I was competing with were
very nice and friendly. I came second in HighJump. Zara L, Olive B, Lottie B and I had a fun time cheering on the other Seatoun School people. I also enjoyed the relay. It was fun to watch my friends running from down at the field. I definitely want to do Eastern Zones Athletics again next year.
